This was a walk through the northern most town off I-91 in Massachusetts. The town reeks of small town charm, and when I say that I mean it smells like manure! Of course, there are a lot of small farms, so that is to be expected. Our two mile walk around town also included Cushman Park. We found a short trail leading from River Street down to the river, but it was steep and a tree had fallen over it, so we weren't able to get all the way down to the river. All in all, this was a pleasant walk on a nice spring evening.

Cushman Park

This is a small park located in "downtown" Bernardston on the corner of Routes 5 & 10. I was actually headed to a different place that was labled "Cushman Park" on Google Maps, but it turned out to be private property with a solar farm and "No Trespassing" signs. We ended up finding the real park nearby. The park is nice, but it's small—the spot labeled "Cushman Park" on Google Maps was bigger. We made the most of it and still had an enjoyable walk through the town as well.
