The reviews on All-Trails are excellent for this trail, but I thought it was just okay. The grass has started to overtake some of the trail, but luckily I didn't find any ticks on the dogs. The start of the trail passes by a small pond, but the rest of it is pretty much just woods. There is a side trail that goes out to Knight's Pond, a larger more scenic pond. But you can't really get that close. There is a "No Trespassing" sign at the end of the trail. The place is okay, but wasn't really worth the hour drive.

This was our Easter Sunday hike. We've walked other parts of this trail on holidays too, as we did parts of this trail on Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve in 2023. I had forgotten that we still had a 1.5 mile section of this trail that we didn't finish. This section was closed for repairs in 2023 when we were walking the rest of this multi-town trail. I think we come on holidays because we usually have family obligations, and this trail isn't too far away for us. We started at the parking lot off Warren Wright Road. This is the current east end of the trail. There's only about a quarter of a mile or so of this trail in Belchertown. It quickly passes into Amherst, where we continued to Station Road, where we visited Lawrence Swamp Conservation Area, before heading back the way we came. It took us a while, but we've now completed the entire trail. The pictures below are from the Belchertown section. See the Amherst page for pictures from that section.
