River Walk

Date visited: 9/13/2020

A short, paved multi-use path that runs along the west side of the Connecticut River in Agawam. There was a couple access points where we could get down to the river.

Agawam Dog Park

Dates visited: 6/12/2020, 6/14/2020 & 6/17/2020

The Agawam Dog Park was one of the first to re-open after COVID, so we came here a few times while waiting for the closer ones to re-open.

Robinson State Park

Date visited: 5/22/2021

This is a very nice State Park located in the Feeding Hills section of Agawam. There is an extensive series of trails. We walked the "Small Waterfall Loop" trail. The waterfall was pretty small. A friend went with us on this hike, so the dogs showed off by cooperating much more than usual for the photos!

School Street Park

Date visited: 5/4/2023

This town park is very well maintained. It looks like every thing has a fresh coat of paint. The park is divided into two halves by a small stream. There's a paved walking trail that loops both halves. The park has the usual collection of playgrounds and athletic fields, in addition to a band shell. It's a nice place to take the dogs for a walk.

Pynchon Point

Date visited: 5/4/2023

This spot is where the Agawam/Springfield ferry used to launch. It's also the spot where the Agawam River feeds into the Connecticut River. There's a little picnic area at the end of a very short walkway. Unfortunately, it was completely flooded when we visited.
